The object of Yahoo! Sports Survival Football is to be the last Active member of your individual group.

In order to accomplish this goal, a user must correctly pick the winner of one professional football game each week. In groups that use more than 1 Strike (i.e., incorrect pick), a user may be allowed to miss up to 2 times and still be the group winner.

But, to make this somewhat simple task more difficult, each user can only pick each professional football team once during the season (this does not carry across multiple groups).

If a correct selection is made, the user will remain Active for the following week. If an incorrect selection is made (or the game ends in a tie), that user will be incur a Strike and could be Eliminated, depending on the group's settings.

In the event that the last Active members in a group are all Eliminated together in the same week, all are declared winners.

First year in the Horizon League and we went to the semifinals. I do believe that's a pretty good showing.

Deadline to join and make a pick is Sunday at 1ET. Also, this is a one strike group (miss one and you are out) and if everyone has been eliminated before week 8, we will reset.

Feel free to sign up and invite friends... we have about 15 active players right now... the more the merrier!

Well, you couldv'e gone with Green Bay (sound advice there, rlh ;))...glad I didn't take it :)

I pretty much subscribe to the theory that my team is going to be "whoever plays the Lions"...unless the other team is bad too...and I'll deal with the three weeks they play someone for a second time...

04...looks like you "Suisham-ed" out there...

I would have went with the Vikings, but I stay away from divisional games, especially after week 1. I also figure if I want to take that matchup, they play the Lions at home later on.

I am so glad I am not a Redskins fan, Jim Zorn looked like he literally had no clue at times today... Going for it 4th and 1 at the 3 yard line, up 9-7 with 2 mins left and getting stuffed. I was hoping they would lose on a FG after that, my Survivor pick be damned!

I believe that one falls into the "unless the other team is bad too" category...

This looks like it may be a tough week. Everyone seems to be lasting longer than last year, though. Wasn't the game reset after only a few weeks?
