I don't see the teams filled in... Neither do I. I'm staying on your board and talking with you guys. It seems as if the 125 people we had on earlier fell off the face of the Earth in the last hour

Old Dominion....that's fantastic. They've held a soft spot in my heart for a while.

We look right now to be at Bradley. Of course, we don't know anything for sure. Peoria is only a 3 - 3 1/2 hr. drive from Valpo depending on traffic. Hopefully, a lot of us will make the trip - if we end up playing them. Hey, and it's not that far from St. Louis, either! I'm hoping for Wednesday, but I suspect I'd find a way to get there either way.

Refresh the page guys. The site is basically crashing right now. I grabbed it before.
We play at Washington and the winner plays Nevada/Houston.
Trust me on this one.

Wright State board says they turned down an invitation. That doesn't make sense to me

Maybe they didn't want to travel all the way to Seattle.

From Mark Lazerus
alparaiso heads west -- way west By Mark Lazerus on March 17, 2008 12:41 AM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0) The process went well past Mark LaBarbera's bedtime, but it was worth the wait.
Valparaiso will play at Washington on Wednesday at 8 p.m. central time in the first round of the CBI. VU is the fourth seed, Washington is the top seed in that bracket. The game will be televised nationally on Fox College Sports. If VU wins, it'll travel to the winner of the Nevada-Houston game for a Monday night quarterfinal.
LaBarbera -- who first was contacted by the CBI after 11 p.m. -- and coach Homer Drew weren't exactly giddy about being placed in the West bracket (though most travel expenses are paid for by the tournament).
"Oh, my gosh, can you believe that?" Drew said. "We have the farthest to go of anybody. We'll be out west all week. It's a hard, hard trip for our guys to take, and to miss this much school right after spring break. Esp when you've got Bradley and Ohio in the tournament, those are drives."
Still, VU liked the idea of playing a major-conference opponent. The Huskies went 16-16, with a 7-11 record in the Pac-10. Their RPI was 121.
"There are, I believe, 341 Division I basketball programs, and only 113 will still be playing as of tomorrow," LaBarbera said. "It's certainly a great opportunity to play a Pac-10 team; we don't get that opportunity too often."
And for Shawn Huff, Jarryd Loyd and Calum MacLeod will get at least one more chance to suit up for VU. That means they won't be the first VU class to go without postseason play since the early 1990s -- something Drew hadn't even realized.
"Wow, I had not thought about that," Drew said. "Each four-year group has made it to a national tournament. That's a remarkable accomplishment. And now these three men get to experience that, too."

We are clearly one of the #4 seeds...meaning 13-16. The bracketed numbers before were the citation numbers.
