I'll agree with that. One of these days I'll be correct and I'll look really smart. I was correct within 7 points last game against SUU. :-)

Valpo 77, Oakland 61 "

You remember too much what it was like in the old days, when getting a win against anyone was a significant accomplishment. You don't think fate is going to smile on Valpo for very much longer.
I'll say Valpo 88, Oakland 74. "
I think it's time some veterans fessed up and gave this guy some credit for finally being right. What about it guys? Of course, Rick slipped in there at the end (7:03 eastern) 3 minutes after the game had started to predict an Oakland win too.

td, my reaction to your pick was based on your assumption that Valpo's ills would not go away, but Oakland's would. Again, besides raw pessimism, what did you base that assumption on?
congrats on picking Valpo as a loser again.

Preditions are done on a wim anyway. The idea is to be correct not pull for your team. If you ask the guys in the chat room who I was pulling for at the end of the game it was Valpo all the way........predition be damned.

TD, I haven't been on the board much since Thursday. Congrats on picking the correct winner in the Oakland game. I'm happy for Kampe, but the loss came at a bad time for our guys. And unfortunately, I think tonight could be four losses in a row (see my prediction on the other thread).
I'll be at Munster-Valpo High tonight, which should be another good game.
(On a VHS note, which I know you like TD, CP coach Shaun Busick said after the game last night that if there's one team in the state that at all has a shot at Lawrence North, it's Valpo. Busick coached somewhere down south last year, can't recall which school but he coached against Muncie Central and said this team is better than last year's Muncie team which made it to the state title game.)

Shaun Busick was coach at Seth's alma mater Bellmont. I don't know for sure if he was Seth's coach or not.
