this feels like when i play ncaa07 on my xbox on rookie difficulty. and then i'm playing 5 minute quarters. anybody know what the ncaa record for most points in a game is? jacksonville's gotta be on pace to break that... I can't remember the exact score, but this isn't close to that if I recall. I'm pretty sure it's above 150 according to yahoo answers, the all-time record is 222 by georgia tech against cumberland; modern era record is 106 by ft valley state georgia (naia) in 1969.

Who thinks it will be 63-7 at half? Oh close. It was 66-7.

Well it looks like 1000 yards is out of the question. Barring a 400 yard meltdown. But 100 points in within reach. Does Jacksonville score 20 to get to 100?

It's never good that the first punt is in the 4th quarter. As long as Valpo doesn't get stupid and pass too much (stopping the clock) they should be able to keep it under 100.

Whew! Only 86-7. Truthfully if they wanted to get to 105, they could have. This is bad to say, but Jacksonville was nice in only getting 86. It could have easily been worse.

Well, it could have been worse. Valpo could have given up 91. It's not like that hasn't happened before....Oh wait.
All kidding aside, I was able to catch a few minutes of the first quarter through the video. VU could have put all 11 guys in the box this afternoon and there still would have been gaping holes for Jax's backs to run through. I haven't seen LOS domination like that in a long long time. Hard to win games if you can't control the LOS.
Let's hope this program is more competitive next year.

This football program whizzed by disappointing and uncompetitive and into the embarrassing category. I love football and I love Valpo but the justification of spending anything on this crap is really difficult.

Clearly you haven't been updated on why Valpo has non scholarship football...it's so they can have 100 more males come and pay to attend the university.

For the low price of $40K/yr you can tell your kids and grand kids you once "played" Division 1 football.

This is really sad. My son was considering Valpo but signed with a GLIAC school instead. At this point, I have to say I am really glad he went that direction. Makes me wonder what is going through Coach Carlson's mind. Is the talent on the team really that bad? Is the talent that is there just not a right fit for the kind of game Carlson wants to play? It seems like they have been going backwards since the Drake game. Gonna be hard to recruit for next year.
