Despite the win, I was disappointed by a few bad decisions of some of our players. I will highlight a few: - Corey Johnson took 5 three pointers. He air-balled THREE of them. With about 5 minutes left, Johnson took a three early in the shot-clock, missed the rim so badly that we were able to retain the ball without it going out of bounds. He gets the ball back and fires another air-ball.
- Wood took 10 three pointers. While he ended up going 40%, he hit the 3 of the 4 that were relatively uncontested. He fired the other five with a defender in his face. Toward the end of the game when Valpo was running the clock down, he took one early in the count.
- Wood almost threw away a 3 on 1 doing a behind the back pass. This was in the second half when Buggs (I think) had a nice steal, and Valpo had an easy 3-1 and instead of passing to Johnson for the easy layup, he tries a behind the back pass that misses everyone. Lukily Johnson was able to stop and go back for the ball and still score.
- Free-throw shooting down the stretch wasn't perfect. I'm not sure if Harris was in at the end, but they need to find him and not inbound to Buggs ever.
