Don't forget about both UIC games either.
This is not the Summit League. This is the Horizon. Unless you have a team like Butler 2010 you are going to have games you pull out but probably shouldn't have and others that go the other way. Plus the nature of this team is one that does not get blown out often. When you are "in" as many games as this team you have a lot more opportunities to either finish or not finish. The fact this team puts itself in position as often as it does speaks to a level of depth and consistency, but it also magnifies the "missed opportunities" which leads to labels as not being able to finish.

So, just so I'm clear...if we win a close game, it should have never been close to begin with. If we blow out a team, that can't be us finishing...I mean, those teams made runs in the second half, yet we FINISHED and never let them get too close. Can't count those. So, the only thing that counts is close games we lose. Got it.

Can't wait for VU to play tonight...regardless of how the game ends, we know for certain that there is no scenario in which we can say that they "finished."

Butler, Missouri State, Cleveland State, Oakland, Ball State, Wright State, Detroit...etc... The Missouri State and Ball State games were never close, so that's just stupid. Some of those other games you listed (especially Oakland and Cleveland State) should never have been close except for our inability to "finish." You just nailed it 56. But there is that word "stupid" again. As a public service we would like to announce that if there is anybody left on the board who 56 has not yet called "stupid" who would like to be included on this years list, you need to post something soon and he has assured us that he will do his best to try and work you in.

First of all, stop crying. Second, if you'll notice I didn't call him stupid, I called his point stupid for including the Missouri State and Ball State games as showing how Valpo finished games. Those games were never in doubt anytime in the second half, so him including them was, in fact, stupid.

Wait ... I'm confused. A team with 23 wins is being labeled as not being able to finish? Correct. The team that was in first place in the middle of November managed to lose 3 out of 4 in conferernce to finish in 4th place instead of 1st. That's called not finishing. The Milwaukee loss can be explained, because they're good and it was on the road. However, how do you explain Green Bay and the Loyola blowout? Neither one of those teams are very good.

They are 12-5 in games decided by 10 points or less.

Butler makes the Sweet 16 after knocking off #1 seed Pitt. It's deja vu all over again.
Congrats to Butler and to the Horizon League for more NCAA exposure and cash.
