I have to go with Milwaukee. More than just the fact that we could end up with 2 bids, I think the image of the league is better served when a variety of teams represent it.

If Butler is a lock even with a loss, then I definitely hope Milwaukee wins.
Two bids is definitely best for the conference. I think Butler has a better chance to advance in the NCAA simply due to experience.

I don't care because it isn't us.
I hate fair-weather fans (UWM), but I also hate Butler. Lose, lose situation.

I have to agree with wh because should Milwaukee win, Butler will get in on their schedule this non-conference season, plus what they did last season. It will also play to our advantage for Milwaukee to win, as the conference would receive two NCAA tourney shares, meaning Valpo would get double the money because two teams made it in, rather than Butler winning, and Milwaukee going to the NIT.

I don't see anyone beating Butler three times in a season....

In AJ Graves freshman season, we beat Butler three times. It can be done.

I want Butler to win and I think Butler will win. It mat push us down, but we'll play in a tournament regardless. Milwaukee exploited our lack of depth and height upfront...it will be a different story for Milwaukee against Howard and Smith.

I was ambivalent about who I wanted to win this game until I read milwvu04's report on the radio interview with Jeter. As reported, it sounded as if he took some cheap shots at Homer. Go Butler!

Maybe he's still pissed about our game up there in 2008 when Homer called a timeout with a 9-pt lead with 9 seconds to go.

In any case, I was AT the radio show and I don't recall anything said about the Valpo game that would be hateful. In discussions I've had with our coaches, they're impressed with Homer's ability to recruit overseas and think the VU program is a great addition to the conference. No bad blood up here.

Come on Jimmy, you have a better memory than that don't you? If so, you'll recall that Jeter still had the Panthers pressing us on the inbounds play prior to that timeout. If Rob wasn't comfortable "calling off the dogs" down 9 points with such little time remaining, then why should Homer not be allowed to call timeout to draw up an inbounds play? I think you've identified the wrong coach when implying one of them made a "dick move." EDIT: Let me add that after Homer called the timeout, Jeter refused to go to his team huddle and instead, stood at half court staring down at Homer. Very classy move on his part.
