More than 9,000 tickets have been sold. Should be a good game.

Words cannot describe how much I'd love to see uwm come back and win this one. So bloody sick of butler, wish they would just go away forever. Bastards. At least I'm getting to watch marquette destroy providence so far, 20-2. MU might be a cocky, arrogant, insufferable school just like butler, but they're a hometown team for me!

Millwaukee needs to work on calling out picks. I think it was Boyle just got labeled again. UWM trying to make a game of it. It's amazing all the fouls they call when Hill touches the ball. Butler shouldn't whine about it though....

Say hello to the CBI. Thanks a lot, Panthers... The least you can do now is win the damn NIT.

Of course, the lucky d-bags would draw UWM on their coldest night of the season. Oh well, I guess they were going to make the tournament either way. Hopefully they'll got knocked out in the first or second round of the tournament like they should. Enjoy the letdown, entitled pricks.

Unless some Chase Stigall stage fright ruins them, I expect the Bulldogs to make it to the sweet 16 at least. They're playing really well right now. And I stopped hating Butler when we joined the conference. I wish Milwaukee were going too, but if it's just Butler, I want to see them go far again.

I had to listen to most of the game while on the road. When I finally got to a TV, there were only about 3 min. left and the announcers were saying that Hill had only taken 3 shots the entire game. What is that about??? Why waste time playing the game if you can't figure out a way to get your star player more than 3 shots?

Why are you assuming that Milwaukee will be in the NIT? Because every conference's #1 seed is guaranteed an NIT berth if they don't make the NCAA Tournament. although, something came up somewhere else on here about scenarios in which teams tied for their conference regular season title. somebody said something about the farthest advancing team being the one that would otherwise get the nit autobid. does anybody know if that situation would be in play right now. if so, then would there even still be an auto-bid for the panthers?

Because every conference's #1 seed is guaranteed an NIT berth if they don't make the NCAA Tournament. That. Here is the rule: " The regular-season champion of any NCAA Division I conference (as determined by the conference’s tie-break protocol) not otherwise selected to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will secure an automatic qualification to the National Invitation Tournament." The HL has no "tie-breaking protocol" for the "regular season champion," only for tournament seeding. Why then isn't it the case that as long as one of our 3 regular season co-champions wins the tournament - which is what happened - the NIT is not obligated to invite Milwaukee. It may sound like splitting hairs, but there's an important point here. We have a better resume than Milwaukee in nearly every respect (RPI, wins, SOS, top 50 wins). They become just one more team with less credentials than we have that steal a spot that should belong to us. I know that's the argument I'd be making to the NIT if I was running the VU Athletic Department.
