I figured I'd branch this off into it's own thread.

As if that is bad? Maybe he was on the defensive waiting to get hit. Now it is going to get kicked in the junk, slapped in the face, and pushed to the ground. That is so ridiculous if anyone believes that. It may have the symbols they were looking to represent, but there is NO personality in it at all. These mascots all have personality, because it is all in the face. Scrotie, the unofficial mascot for the Rhode Island School of Design Nads even looks better. :lol Seriously though, if they wanted to get it right, they would have looked to UCF, but maybe those eyes are too frightening looking for them:

Hey... at least our new awesome mascot was unveiled! Wow... Who said there's no such thing as evolution? Haha.

The new mascot is a complete and total embarrassment.

Did the person who designed the new mascot ever been to a sporting even before? Or seen any other mascots? Was neutering the Crusader really that necessary? It is too late to bring back the old Crusader? Can we get our money back from the marketing firm that designed this thing? I'm not sure what's worse: our football team or the new mascot.

New mascot costume looks pretty cheap. I personally think mascots are supposed to have faces...although I'm not really sure about the face on Stanford's tree, that might be a bit much. I guess I don't see the point of having a "serious" mascot bouncing around at sporting events.

The whole thing about identifying with the mascot, because it could look like you, whoever you may be, is odd too. I think it is an ugly space alien underneath, so I don't really identify with it. It could have been unique had they dropped the idea of having a single mascot image and just had several students with no helms charge around. An army of Crusaders would be cool. It would depict a sense of unity and you would still get that feeling that you can relate with your peers.

Crusader. IT (the mascot) doesn't appear to be the type that would drink a beer or two at the Theta Chi house. Rather,a cup of green tea with pinky out at the old KIP house would be more appropriate. Bad!

He just looks cheap.....and too brown. The big blow-up Crusader they had at the football game looked really cool, so I guess that might have been what people were expecting.

What's with the helmet? And the deflated arms? It's a giant head on a normal persons body.

sorry, but he/she/"Pat" is terrible....just terrible. not a big fan of the new logos either...your old cartoon crusader, imo, was one of the best in the league....the new one on the HL site is awful.

That can't be real. It's like a cheap halloween costume painted brown. Seriously ... those fly-by-night halloween stores that are only around for a month sell pathetic junk like that for $30 every October. It's a Batman/He-Man/Mighty Morphin Power Ranger costume with a giant cylindrical helmet. This is just some student's homemade attempt, right? Right??? No way an actual University tries to pass this off as a mascot.
