How about Chesterton recruits Hummel and Martin, to go along with Novak, Schmidt and some of the other up and comers.

How about Chesterton recruits Hummel and Martin, to go along with Novak, Schmidt and some of the other up and comers. For the sake of all parties concerned, we should try to arrange for an out-of-area tuition reimbursement fund so that either the two Valpo studs can start taking classes at Chesterton or vice-versa. What a complete domination that would be and a fun trip to Indy for all NWI fans. Talk about a ringer.

Is Kevin Meyne any relation to the Meyne that played for VU in the early '80s?

It would be his nephew.
John Meyne is the one who played at Valpo. He is from Boone Grove, and played with his brother Dave in high school on some very good teams. Dave is Kevin's dad. They live near Aberdeen, I think, just on the Valpo side of the border.

He may have played for Boone back when I was in high school and they used to be in the Valpo sectional.
