Watching the 24 season 1 reloaded today on WGN, and just saw my favorite quote from the show:
"Shut up! I've been listening to this crap all day, about how I get everything I want and how my life is so great and everyone else's life sucks. Well, you wanna know something? You don't know anything about me. Last night I was kidnapped, tied up in the back of a trunk, and then I got to see your friend Dan get shot in the head. You take all the bad luck you've had in your life, it wouldn't fit into half of what's happened to me in the past 24 hours. So messing me up might not be as easy as you think, but if you wanna try, BRING IT ON!!! Here, outside, any place you like!" -- Kim Bauer, 24, Day 1, "8:00pm - 9:00pm"
Right up there with my favorite quote from Babylon 5:
"This is Ambassador Delenn of the Minbari. Babylon 5 is under our protection. Withdraw or be destroyed." 'Negative, we have authority here. Do not force us to engage your ship.' "Why not? Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari fleet. He is behind me, you are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else." -- Delenn and EA Captain, "Severed Dreams"

DeGaulle???(The French guy) wanted American Soldiers out of France after WW2. He wanted it done immediately. Ike was not in a big hurry to get it done. So Degaulle called him up and asked just how long is this going to take? Ike replied: As long as it takes to dig up all of the American soldiers who are buried under your soil. (Or something to that effect) I liked that. Don't know if it's true.

You could put that on a big overhead screen at church to create a mood where everybody will start crying for Jesus, um, sorry, Edgar.

Meanwhile, something tells me we still haven't seen the last of calamity-prone Kim, even after Monday's episode.

Meanwhile, something tells me we still haven't seen the last of calamity-prone Kim, even after Monday's episode. Does her attitude toward her father seem realistic to you? That's way too much dramatic license for me. It's such a selfish way to be too about your own father. She should have been happy he was alive in my view. A lot of the regulars are getting killed off. I was glad to see Rudy go. ;D

Meanwhile, something tells me we still haven't seen the last of calamity-prone Kim, even after Monday's episode. Does her attitude toward her father seem realistic to you? Yes. You gotta remember, there's a lot that happens in between "Days". She alluded to some of that this week. That's way too much dramatic license for me. It's such a selfish way to be too about your own father. She should have been happy he was alive in my view. Perhaps. I don't know, it didn't bother me all that much. These are extraordinary times for this family, to borrow from the old Chinese curse. A lot of the regulars are getting killed off. I was glad to see Rudy go. ;D Yeah, but notice what they do with honest buffoons on this show? Same as with Chappelle, remember? They go out as heroes, making the ultimate sacrifice. Actually, Rudy had a very good moment early on. It was he that figured out that Jack was using an obsolete code back when Jack was being held at gunpoint in the mall.

I caught some of the marathon on WGN too, including that first quote of Kim's. I always liked Gaines from Season 1...
Dan: We'd like our money now. If that's like, you know, okay. Ira Gaines: Well, just so we're like, you know, clear, what happened to the other girl? Dan: Janet? Like I told you, we had to kill her. Ira Gaines: My people tell me that a girl fitting her description was taken to a hospital near to where you were. How do you explain that? Dan: Well, the thing is that [pause] Dan: Maybe she wasn't quite dead. Ira Gaines: Well, I'll tell ya, Dan. You're either dead or you're not dead. There's no such thing as "sorta dead". Here, let me show you. [pulls out gun and shoots Dan] Ira Gaines: [to a very shocked Rick] Congratulations, you've just been promoted
