wonder if the ncaa will allow VU to re-schedule those 2 losses. doubt it. how convenient for the rest of the league!

;DSweet. At least we'll play some defense now and get some rebounds. I'm very happy, but I still think the loss of Huff is going to hurt.

Isn't that wonderful.... I would really like to know who or what caused this probe to be initiated. This was like a bomb going off in the middle of our season. RPI takes a shot and if we make it to the tournament we have probably lost any hope of a 13 or 14 seed. I hope the team can recover and battle through the rest of the conference schedule and tournament.

Do you guys think Sutton — after a stinging loss to VU — would "mention" this to the NCAA? Whether he had info or not?

For potentially ruining our season, it sure would be nice to at least hear an explanation. However, it may well be that Homer received such an explanation and he's probably the only one they are obligated to explain things to. Has Kone at least been allowed to practice with the team during this false suspension?

Thanks for the update, rlh. As I sat at my computer I thought that we would have no info because you were the one with the info, and you'd be on the bus.
At my workplace, if someone files a charge of harrassment and there is no basis for it, the accuser faces penalties. I would like to think that the NCAA has some means of dealing with malicious allegations.

To clarify, Kone wasn't suspended. His not playing the last two games was voluntary.

;D....even though we did lose those 2 games, I still think we needed an attitude check. This past week should prove positive for the morale of our team.

To clarify, Kone wasn't suspended. His not playing the last two games was voluntary. Excellent point. However, I find the fact that this occurred confusing. Is it Valpo's policy to sit (i.e. punish) players whenever any allegation occurs, no matter how unfounded? Policing ourselves not only proved unnecessary here, it marred our season.

I believe that had Kone played in those two games, had Valpo won, and had Kone been found "guilty" (or whatever the NCAA calls it) ... Valpo could have been made to forfeit those games or they could have been sanctioned.

I definitely agree with the fact that the team needed a bit of an attitude check. Hopefully those two games humbled them enough to keep their heads on straight the rest of the season.

This is great news. Having Kone back now gives us the missing presence in the middle. Maybe now we can get back to rebounding. REMEMBER GUYS, BOX OUT YOUR MAN WHEN THE SHOT GOES UP!! Hopefully we can get Jimmy back by Saturday. Not having Huff out there is a definite disadvantage, but on the other hand this gives Igbavboa some valuable minutes before tourny time. The team should take these last two games as a wake up call, and a chance to learn more about their weakness'.
