The Penguins were Mid-Con members for 9 seasons. Seems like they came from the OVC. Not too successful at a .433 winning percentage. Their women's program was pretty successful. The have been a bottom feeder in the HL though improvements have been made.

We are slowly coming around in the Basketball perspective of the Horizon League. Our men on are on schedule to finish 5th place and get a home tourney game, while our women are in line to finish in 6th place of 9 teams.
Our men's team is 11-15 on the year, and has been playing very good ball all year. Our new coach is well loved, and you will see why next year!

While on a business trip to Connecticut, many years ago, I saw Valpo play Central Connecticut State. Weren't the Blue Devils(no comparison to Duke) members of Mid-Con at one time?

Yes, Central Connecticut State was a Mid-Con member. They are in a different thread within this board. If you have memories, they would be fun there...considering CCS is playing well this season.

A big win this week for the Penguins over Wright State essentially setting Butler up to host the conference tourney (final 3 games). Butler could not close the deal losing to Loyola at home.
