It seems like we have at least 15 new poster names than on the Voy board and some of the old ones are gone. Did people change names, or do we have that many new posters all of the sudden?

I'm guessing a lot of the lurkers have come out of the shadows with this great new board. I'm sure the old guard will migrate eventually...

[glow=red,2,300] It seems like we have at least 15 new poster names than on the Voy board and some of the old ones are gone. Did people change names, or do we have that many new posters all of the sudden? There always seems to be a lot of "guests" shown at the bottom of the home page. How does one become a guest? I thought you had to register as a member to participate. [/glow]

I think you can be a guest to view threads, but to post or have others see that you're online, you need to have registered and logged in.

I thought the same thing re: the lurkers, but these new posters are posting actual substance, as opposed to the Trolls on Voy.

Yes, I didn't mean lurkers in a negative sense. The new format has made it more likely that people will comment and participate IMO. I certainly find myself participating a lot more!

I could not sign up as my old Voy ID "treidenb". "tr" stole my initials again and when I registered here, it told me I couldn't create an ID that included the word "tr"

I was a avid lurker on the voy board. I did not post very much though, only about once or twice a year. I love this new board. Its format is encouraging to post on. Accordingly, I have the desire to post more often. Thanks for changing the format.

Well, I used to post under a different name at the old site back when rivals.com had one for VU (late 90's?). I believe it was called the "Crusader Corner" or something like that. Never posted on the Voy forum because I had a very hard time contacting an admin. for a password (when the board required one), if you can believe that. So I basically lurked there, and that is how I found this site.
Anyway, I'm a looking forward to discussing VU basketball and whatever else is going on with the university. And to the creator of the board, I say "Nice job!" The place looks great.

I could not get the activation code send to me as indyvu, so I have switched to indyvalpo The reason for this problem is probably due to the fact that we have disabled changing your display name. Whatever name you signed up with, that will be your username. The only way it can be changed is to delete your account and sign up with a new one.
