The Horizon League Tournament starts tonight. Is anyone besides myself intending to watch or listen to any of the games from Youngstown St., UIC or UWGB? I'm thinking the game between Cleveland St and UWGB is decidedly going to the Phoenix, but I'm uncertain about UW-M vs. UIC or Detroit vs. YSU. I'll post some info about how the games go later this evening..since all of these games are early starts.

I plan to tune in as soon as I get home. I'll probably miss the YSU-UDM game completely but catch the 2nd half of the other 2 games.

Youngstown St. 82 Detroit 80 This game started out as a romp by YSU, but the defense became horrible, as did the ability to stop the shooter. Eventually, it became a battle of the free-throw line, and YSU won it there.

Looks like the UWGB-CSU game was the most boring.
I was actually tracking the UDM-YSU game on my cellphone (until it died) and I am surprised by the final score. I think the last score I got on my cell was 40-21 YSU. I couldn't help hearing some OU fans enjoying the heck out of such a slaughter.
The UWM-UIC game was at least a close game.

Yeah, the UWGB-CSU game was close coming out of the halftime break, then after about 10 mins. the Phoenix just started making it more of a comfortable lead and showing how weak CSU is as a team. I didn't turn over to the UW-M at UIC game because I was so bored from the butt-kicking the Vikings took in the second half, plus the Bob Woodruff special was coming on and I was interested in that.

I caught the last three minutes of this game. Very entertaining. Detroit had a chance to tie with a few seconds left but the driving guard chose to give up the shot and instead dished it off. I was surprised when I saw that. I thought he would shoot--looked like he had a clear shot.
Also, I'm not sure, but I thought the heave from the Detroit player with about .4 remaining grazed the rim after the YSU player missed his free throw...now that would have been an amazing finish. That launch goes in, YSU goes home.

For those of you not going to Tulsa just yet...there are two Horizon League games tonight. UIC takes on Loyola-Chicago first, then after that is UW-Green Bay vs Youngstown St. Should be an interesting night of Horizon League play to go with some other conference tourney games from the Missouri Valley to the Patriot League and Atlantic Sun.

Bring on the semis..the best, or at least most watchable, matchup is Loyola vs. Butler. I get this feeling that after the way UWGB played last night, they'll falter to Wright St. heavily. It'll definitely be worth it to watch these two games online though.

Quick Question: What does a dog have to do with a Raider? I never really thought about it until watching the HL Championship game and I noticed the big dog at center court.

The mascot was a VIKING Raider, but for some PC reason, they decided to replace the Viking with a dog/wolf. This was around the early 90's I believe. They kept the athletics name Raiders, though. I'm sure CigarBoy would be able to tell you much more.
