Candace White named Women's Coach at UMKC

Candace White, former guard at Texas Tech and former assistant coach at VU was named the permanent head coach of the UMKC women's basketball coach on Tuesday. I suppose having a good season in interim as she had this season when Bo Overton unexpectedly left for the WNBA's Chicago Sky is reward enough to make the big move. I think she'll do really well there. She's got some shoes to fill there after Dana Eikenberg left for SIU and Bo Overton, but I believe she'll show the Mid-Con that UMKC has something, as long as UMKC can get their act together and regulate their athletics.
