Late last week on the NW Indiana public tv station, Lakeshore Public TV, which broadcasts on channel 56 in the the south end of the Chicago metro area along with in northwest Indiana, made an announcement at the end of the broadcast to tune in Monday 8/13 for a big announcement regarding basketball this season. This is the local station that has televised some VU games the last several years. In looking at the stations website tonite, I noticed in the Lakeshore News section, under sports, there is an announcement of a 3 year contract to televise 30 Loyola Rambler games. This would be Loyola-Chicago, also a member of the Horizon League. Assuming selected VU games will continue to be broadcast, in case the Loyola-VU games aren't scheduled to be shown under a VU contract, maybe they will under Loyola's deal. It will be a chance for VU to have games televised on local tv a couple more times a year, as well as additional exposure for the Horizon League in the Chicago market, which can only help. I wonder who the Loyola broadcaster's will be? It will be difficult for whomever it is when compared to our very own RLH!! www.lakeshoreptv.com/main.taf?p=4,4

FWIW, UWM has a contract with a local TV station to show around 10 or so games. Last year ESPN full-court picked up these games, so there is chance that a Valpo vs. UWM game could be on the full-court schedule this year.
