Wright State is encouraging students to come back on campus during the winter break because that is when the mens basketball team plays Valpo and Butler. I really hope we can get some fans to travel to that game and show them how well Valpo fans travel. This will be Valpo's first Horizon League mens basketball game ever.

Raider Mania 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Raider Rowdies, with help from the WSU Athletic promotions office, Resident Services, and several other contributing organizations, would like to announce Raider Mania 2007.
From Thursday, December 6 to Saturday, December 8, on-campus residents will be allowed back into their rooms to safely enjoy Wright State’s big home games vs. Valparaiso and Butler, without having to worry about setting up lodging, or a long nighttime commute home. Because the games happen over winter break, many students would have otherwise missed these big games, but with the cooperation of several organizing bodies, they can come back and spend the weekend with their friends for FREE!
That isn’t all, though! Friday and Saturday will be filled with fun activities for students. On Friday morning/afternoon, campus residents will get a chance to get their holiday shopping done at the Mall at Fairfield Commons. On Friday evening, the Raider Rowdies will be hosting a game night in the student union open to ALL WSU students with tons of chances to win great prizes. Saturday morning will see a volunteer service opportunity for students, as Project Linus will be making blankets to give to area homeless shelters.
McLin Gym will be hosting pep rallies for students before each game and The Guardian will be printing a special edition with loads of information just for the weekend.
Much more is currently in the works and just awaiting final confirmation. Things will be added as the weekend gets closer. Watch for a flood of updates after finals week. Updates will be posted at www.theguardianonline.com
The Raider Rowdies are looking for prize donations for raffle and game winners throughout the weekend. If you can help, or just have a question, please email us at raiderrowdies@gmail.com

Great news!
Hopefully they get the word out about this so it's a huge success. Butler will be a great litmus test to see how the team is coming together. It will be a much better game with a full house of students.
GO RAIDERS!!!
As you can see the emphasis is definitely on the Butler game and not so much on the Valpo game so I think we can surprise them.....that is if we don't turn the ball over 29 times. One of the things that helped WSU beat Butler twice at the Nutter Center last year was their turning the ball over so little. Coach Brad Brownell realized quickly how important that was to beating the Bulldogs. We are toast in the Horizon League if we don't drastically improve in the turnover department.
