Handle IUPUI @ home. We beat 'em by 10*. You guys beat us by 20. That's a 30 pt win tonight at home! * Asterisks will now indicate which games were played with Ken Tutt.

If the second half continues to be good for us, we may have that 30 pt. win

Or we may just crumble apart and give up that 20 point lead & lose the game in OT because our coaching staff doesn't seem to know how to make smart coaching decisions in the 2nd half anymore.

...doubt this will make you guys feel any better, but FYI: ORU had a 20-point lead on IUPUI with 5 minutes to go at the Mabee Center. IUPUI then proceeded to start full-court pressing and making every shot they threw up to cut the lead to something like 5 points with a minute to go. ORU hit some free throws for a 10-point win, but if that game had been five minutes longer, we would have lost. Sound familiar?

Sounds familiar on our side as well. We had a 21 point lead to the Jags midway thru the first half and lost to them by 1 point at home. We play them next so we are going to try to put the clamps on them somehow, someway before they really start running away from the pack.

They quit being agressive & tried to run clock. When we came up empty a few times, it allowed IUPUI's agressive play to take over the game. To those of us in attendance, the game could be seen slipping away.

I almost left the gym so I wouldn't have to watch what I KNEW was about to happen.

Who gave up the killer instinct and changed the way the game had been going? The players?

Rick: I didn't mean that the team slowed down the game. The coaches did that, and as the prevent defense in football is, it was a huge mistake - IMHO.

My questions were rhetorical.
