I know the athletic dept wants to sell basketball season tickets , and as I recall a similar thing happened last year, or maybe it was the year before. Is anyone else having a problem and not able to read the athletic website news due to the season ticket promo sorta kinda blocking the most recent athletic news? Happened last night at home, and today when checking the athletic website while at work.

I got that at home this morning, but I just clicked on it, and it disappeared. It didn't take me anywhere.

Clicked on the image and it doesn't go away for me. Only thing I can get to happen is click on the season ticket info and it takes me to the season ticket pricing chart, etc.

And after you are at the pricing chart you can click on the various sports (left hand side) and that will get you to news about a specific sport. Pretty dumb. Obviously there should be an "X" to remove the ticket info window, but it doesn't presently exist.

I was using Firefox as my browser and it did disappear when I clicked on the image. I tried it in Internet Explorer just now and it doesn't work in IE. I hope they get this fixed soon...

It clicked off using Google Chrome. I think it's a nice addition....most major programs do it.

For all of us fans older than 40, er 50, what the heck is Firefox or for that matter, Google Chrome?? If they expect us to know about, or for that matter have to use, these things, then the website is, well "far out"!!

If its not going away, right click on the image and select "open link"
You will then go to the main page.

Took a look at the athletics website this morning using IE at work, and today there is no season ticket window that opened and blocked the view of the main page. Thanks to whomever at VU made it work for those of us using IE.

If they expect us to know about, or for that matter have to use, these things, then the website is, well "far out"!! Mosaic->Netscape->Mozilla->FireFox is the ancestry. The main figures involved with Mosaic (a university project) formed a company called Netscape and created a browser by the same name. That company morphed into Mozilla sometime in the last 5-10 years, and the new browser (largely patterned after Netscape) was originally called Mozilla, and is now called FireFox. I have actually had success at times in making the outside world think my FireFox browser is really IE. There'll be a short quiz on this at the end of the month.

stlvufan the IE Tab extension actually works pretty well in my experience. I only use IE as a last resort.
