Seeing that we are one of about seven or eight schools with their own Dopler, and now this announcement, I would certqinly agree we must be one of the very best.
vuweathernerd should be able to have some imput in this area!

vuweathernerd were are you. I thought you would jump all over this topic. Can you give us some inside scoop on the NASA Institute?? Maybe he is one of these four students? ?

sorry guys. i've been having computer issues and couldn't get back logged in here until today. but i have them straightened out. i'd have been thrilled to get selected for something like this. I've worked with 3 of the 4 on various things and they're all very bright students. getting one student into a program like this is great, but to take up 1/3 of all the available slots just goes to show how awesome our met department is. i don't know much more about the program than the press release stated, but suffice it to say that all four of these individuals are well on their way to a great career with something like that on their resume.
