A few years ago we had a 2 for 1 scheduled with NC State. We played there and then they couldn't make the return trip so we were let out of the third game at their place. My further recollection is that they still are coming to the ARC and that that game will be next year. Is this still on??

A follow-up to 72's question: In our current 2-for-1 with Purdue, will next year's home game definitely be at the ARC, or is any consideration being given to holding it at the United Center to accommodate more people?

Sorry for not checking the questions more often, I will try to be a little more prompt in the future. We will not be playing any games with NC State in the near future. It was becoming apparent that we would not be able to agree on dates for the remaining 2 games so there was a negotiated end to the contract. We have also agreed to flip the remaining 2 games with Purdue. We will be in West Lafayette again next year and the third game will be in the ARC the following year.

That seems to make sense somewhat for Purdue. They get another home game and a chance to break their contract in the 2010-11 season too. Wow! It seems nobody honors a contract except the US govt and then they use tax laws to work around it. Incredible!

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing as soon as I read ml's response. With the team we should have 2 years from now, I can't imagine Purdue wanting any part of coming to the ARC. That said, if both teams are projected to be very good that year (and they should be), a United Center game has a lot of upside...

Well, the fact that Hummel will be a senior plays in favor of Purdue honoring the contract, assuming he doesn't leave early for the NBA.
