my guess is not well. so much for that july deadline he and the vikings had set. got to be one of the most indecisive people making headlines these days.

WSCR just had a beat writer from the Minneapolis Star Tribune on. A hilarious segment to say the least. Sounds like last year's QB might be released, too. He thinks this is all on the owner, who -- wait for it -- wants a new stadium. You mean I might get a chance some day to push the button on the Baggie-Dome? ? P.S., if the Cubs need a closer, he seems to think Joe Nathan would be available since the Twins seem to have no use for him lately

:clap I'm glad to see him still playing, but when the Packers play him I'll still be rooting for the Pack... maybe only by last minute field goals.
I think he mentioned it briefly in the press conference, but I've heard a few hall of famers and others say that if you are still healthy and able to play, then do it! Whether he has a good or bad season, so what. He would definitely regret the decision had he still had a few years left in him and quit.
It hasn't just been the last couple years that this retire/not retire decision has been looming. In WI, we would hear about it nightly in the off season. After so much of it, it's like the media pressure has hit him to make his head think, "Yeah, maybe this year is it", but his heart never wants to quit.
As for the GB fans who are upset with him, big :censored deal! He doesn't owe GB anything. He wanted to play last year, but GB management didn't want him. Are you just going to forget the good years, because you wanted him to always remain a Packer? Why can't players have their glory years with one team and end with another?

Listen guys, this could put the vikes back in the promised land. The ofense they use does not require a lot of deep throws. It requires pin point short throws which Farve can deliver.
The Vikes have maybe the best defense in football. We also have a guy named Peterson running the football. Ad Favre and... We'll see but I like the move in spite of all the rediculous speculation etc.
As for Joe Nathan being available, when pigs fly! We just haven't had any closer oportunities lately!! We nned a starter or two and we will be back in the hunt. Probably not this year however.

The Star Tribune guy was kidding As a White Sox fan, I naturally greet with great glee any Twin Cities gloom I can get my hands on. Of course the Cardinal fan in me is too busy having more fun than a human has a right to have watching the Cubs fold like a cheap accordion. :dance
