You think they are a 2 seed? I'll bet you a hot dog that they get beat before the final four. :cheers

They're pretty good. Ranked in the top 10 all or most of the year. They have a very good post player in Jajuan Johnson, a great guard in E'Twaun, a good defender in Kramer and a versatile 6-8 Hummel who any team in the country would love to have. They've won 8 or 9 in a row. Why wouldn't they be a 2 seed and why would you say they're over-rated? Did you go to IU or something? I did, but it doesn't cloud my judgement.

Why wouldn't they be a 2 seed and why would you say they're over-rated? Did you go to IU or something? I did, but it doesn't cloud my judgement. Well, the experts think they are good enough to be a one seed. USA/ESPN poll: 4 AP poll: 4 RPI 8th Sagarin 6 Pomeroy 5 If the experts who do the polls are correct, they should be a 1 seed, being the 4th best team in the country. I don't even think they deserve a 2 seed but none of the numbers from the experts put them below a 2 seed. To be first pick in a number 3 seed, they would have to be the 9th best team in the country, which may be a stretch. Ok, expecting them to be a 1 or 2 seed is setting the bar too high low for Purdue? I'll bet you two hotdogs they don't make the elite 8. Is that better when there is a case to be made that they should be a one seed based on their 4th place ranking? Is that a bet you would take? But the reason why I think they should not be a two seed is that they are not as athletic as many other teams in the country and I think that will be the main reason they will not progress as far as they SHOULD based upon their ranking, i.e., I think they are overrated. If the polling experts are correct, PU should make the final four. What say you? BTW, I root for Purdue.

I say you think too much and I don't bet, especially for hot dogs.

Valpo's Robbie Hummel out with a knee injury sustained in tonight's game. How long? Uncertain at this time.

A tough gutty win tonight, but if Robbie is out for any length of time, it could have alot to do with whether or not they can win the Big 10 Tourney and a number 1 seed.....Boiler UP !!!!!

As long as Purdue can show that they can win, whether Hummel plays or not, the NCAA will take into effect in what seed Purdue gets. Right now, they are on pace for a #1 seed, but we're looking now at a Cincinnati/Kenyon Martin situation now. Will Purdue keep winning, or will they buckle under the pressure of not having a floor leader on the court that everyone seems to know a lot about?
