Let's hope Hummel will be back for Purdue's game at Valpo during the 2010-2011 season. I'm sure that is one game Robbie doesn't want to miss.

Hummel's injury probably proves you right Rick....Purdue will probably not make the Final Four, and maybe not even the Elite 8 without Robbie. It's too bad for him and for us Purdue fans....but he's a great kid from a wonderful family and he'll come back better than some of us old fans.....

A four seed is a gift for Purdue. I still say they are overrated.

I was impressed with Purdue's game against Duke. When I watched them play before, I didn't think they deserved to be ranked as high as they were. They played a surprisingly tough game against Duke and the four seed was probably about right. I just wished they would have won because I wanted to see them play Baylor. Baylor is a very good team and depending upon which Baylor shows up, they have a legitimate chance of upsetting Duke. Baylor is inconsistent but I don't think they lost a game by more than 7 or 8 points all year, and that against some very good competition. I hope they come with their "A" game, for Scott Drew's sake. Scott was dead serious at his press conference when he was hired at Valpo and said his goal (at that time) was to get to the final four. You knew he meant it because of the fire in his eyes. He took that same flame with him to Baylor. What he has done with that program is remarkable, absolutely remarkable. You just can't teach his ability to connect with players and his recruiting skills. Go Baylor!!!!!

I hear JaJuan Johnson is entering the NBA draft and Etwaun Moore is thinking about it too. Will Robbie Hummel be the only star player at Purdue when things settle after this off season?

The scuttlebutt is that if Jujuan and Etwaun find they are first roung picks they will go, otherwise they will return. Since I don't think either of them is first round material yet, I expect they will return...but who ever knows what the pros see that we don't. They have till the 25th I think it is to decide.
