I was reading Pat Forde's article paying homage to basketball arenas around the country. It was interesting to see how much smaller some of the smaller mid-major arenas really were, in terms of seating capacity. The worst arenas are all about 4 times smaller by seating capacity than the ARC. We're definitely spoiled at Valpo under these regards, even if we do have some seating improvement we want done, at least we don't have thousands of seats that sit empty for decades because no one wants to go to our games. I love having the bleachers at both ends of the court. Gives it a better feel....unfortunately, they would no doubt be empty much of the time if left up

These bleachers would definitely get used for Butler, Purdue, and if we could get a team like Marquette, maybe Michigan, Gonzaga, and some of these teams that people would travel for to come to the ARC. Unless the Horizon League became equal to the Missouri Valley, we wouldn't get the fan base to sell the extra seats.
