I went downtown today and put up my sign at the canal by NCAA headquarters "Let MO free!!" :-)

You can rest assured that no one in the Athletics Dept was "sitting on their butts today." Everyone involved understands how important Mo is to this team and I would be willing to bet my life savings (as small as it may be) that Homer, Jen, Mark, and anyone else involved tried everything in their power to resolve this today. And you can rest assured I was talking about the NCAA getting off their butts, not the coaching staff ;D

I believe they installed extra wide doors at NCAA headquarters just for those big butts....the NCAA is well known for not getting off their butts and getting anything done (except maybe defending American Indian tribes from those unseemly attacks on their pride by college nicknames & mascots) you should see all the narrow office chairs.

Sorry,I apologize. I may have read your comment and just assumed you were talking about Valpo people (be a little more specific next time to avoid these misunderstandings). As for the NCAA, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this drags out for weeks and it is then determined that nothing happened and that this was a baseless accusation. That's just the way the NCAA works. They may even be worse than the US government (but we won't get into politics here).

Unfortunately for Valpo, the team is dependent upon the NCAA being quick and efficient in their review. That is not how the NCAA normally works. They are not accountable to anyone - and you know what they say about absolute power...

Though I must wonder, if the coaching staff knows nothing has happened, why are the voluntarily holding Kone out of these games? It'd be nice to see some of the rights granted to the defendant in the judicial system accorded to Valpo...like the right to face your accuser...

It may be that Kone has been caught up in a net thrown at his former coach (Babacar Cy).... If so, this may take longer than expected; the NCAA may want to ask Kone about his former coach's activities. Then again, it may just be an administrative issue that is quickly resolved.

If this is true, are the coach's other former players being held out? Was Moussa one of them?

RLH is correct. Actually, there were thoughts after the Grafs suspension, that the coach at Western (Kerwin) was the one, since there apparently was no love lost with him toward Homer. There was also a confrontation after a game there when Vujic was playing, where he accused Homer of something after a game there. I believe it was on 56 TV. The fact is many teams in this conference are just plain jealous of the Valpo success story, and might do something to keep us from repeating....

I don't think Grafs had any issue. I do remember Viskovic being out a couple of games with some issues and there was a rumor that WIU's coach had something to do with it, but I think RLH is correct that this issue relates more to Kone's coach than anything else. I imagine they are holding him out now so that when a suspension comes through (which seems on its way) they can claim these games and have him ready for the trounament.

Homer and Scott both had to know about this coach when the Kone talk first began. I mean, they had Moussa, and Moussa had an affiliation with the guy. As good as VU is at making sure everything is clean, why would Homer even take a chance on this kid? Seems untoward, to me.

Technically Valpo didn't go after Kone'. He was a gift from a family member, remember.
