Two wins to kick off the spring for VU soccer guys. 7 - 1 over NAIA team and 4 - 2 over Western Michigan. Way to go guys! Looking forward to the alum game. Should maybe start training for it!

In Valpo today for a wedding and caught the guys playing this morning against IPFW. 1-0 win and we looked really good doing it. Driving rain and winds made it tough on the hundred or so folks out watching but still fun to watch.
Thank goodness for the turf. Would have had to cancel otherwise. Can't make the second game in an hour or so. Hope we keep rolling. Good job guys.

Soccer splits with De Paul and Notre Dame last weekend. 1-0 over Blue Demons and 2-1 loss to Irish. Both Big East teams in NCAA tourney last year.
6-2-1 so far on the spring season with only alumni game remaining the 17th.

Prediction for alumni game: 0-0 for at least a while. Then my old legs tremble and we look to the post game party!

Prediction for alumni game: 0-0 for at least a while. Then my old legs tremble and we look to the post game party! Sadly this prediction held true. Down 6 zip after only 30 minutes the alums couldn't keep up with the young guns. It ended 9 or 10 to 2 but it was a lot of fun. 32 doesn't feel old but man those kids can run and can play. Great weekend to reunite with the guys and meet some of the current team. Congrats coach and team for a great year and good luck next year. By the way, the concert was incredible. Taj Weeks is my new reggae hero!
