Not really worried. Mrs Coach Avery has been good a long time at VU so it doesn't surprise me if she gets looks from bigger programs. This one specially since she is a BSU grad.
Mr Coach Avery always tells us alums how lucky they are to be at VU where they can both coach. He also has soccer rolling now and it would surprise me if they walked away now. If Ball State had soccer and needed a coach I might worry. I'll see Mike this weekend at the alumni game and ask him.

There is a rumor that Indiana Wesleyan's mens soccer coach, Mark Castro, is leaving to take an asst coaching position at N. Illinois. Castro is from De Kalb, IL home of N.Illinois U. Indiana Wesleyan just lost in the National Championship game of the NCCAA against Judson of Illinois 4-3. If IWU had won it would have been their 2nd NCCAA National championship as they won it last year. Marion is not far from Muncie but I'm pretty sure Coach Avery would consider this a side move or step down. But for family who knows.

Carin Avery signed a new four-year deal today Congratulations Carin Avery. Well deserved! I figured this would be the logical outcome. She's done such a job and seems invested in the university. I like what this means for volleyball and hope that means soccer keeps its coach too for a while. Go Valpo!

Congrats to Carin and Valpo for keeping an outstanding Coach and person/family. Received her newsletter yesterday and she really keeps everyone informed and the team should not lose a beat for next year.
