I have a feeling that Valpo probably pays less versus what many good D-3 coaches get maybe even not as much as some high school coaches in some states. I hope they would not drop football, but rather work at giving it more support, along with ALL sports. If we are having trouble finding a new coach, think of the tough time he is going to have finding a staff, given the delay. My Question again : why is everything going on such a well kept secret? Valparaiso has a history of keeping secrets when it comes to moves they are making. It has always been very difficult to get official information from the university until they are ready to release it. Unlike many schools, VU has always been this way, and it probably won't change anytime soon.

Gee, A $100K for a losng coach. Hell, little Willams College,a power in D3,pays its coach appx.$50K,although the Ephs lost THE GAME to Amherst this year by a 26-21 score.

jj, doesn't the coach at little Williams College also have to teach a few courses to supplement his coaching pay?
I doubt Coach Carlson will have to teach any courses either, but we'll find out what he's being paid for sure in about 5 mins.
