Lindy's SPORTS has picked Valpo to finish last in the Pioneer Football League. Say it isn't so,Dale. Hell,if Campbell can improve from a 1-10 season to a 3-8,why can't we. Good luck and let's hope for the best. BEAT BUTLER!

I suppose this prediction conceivably makes a lot of sense, with a new coach coming from the D-III ranks to D-I non-scholarship, where the football might be a little better(?), but we don't have any clue how Dale's system will work with the recruits coming in, and returning players recruited by the former coaching staff. We'll just have to go with the predictions until we see this team in the new schemes.

Just be thankful you have football; I feel empty inside when I watch Wisconsin and UW-Whitewater on Saturdays.

So if this isn't bulletin board material I don't know what is! The coaches poll just came out. Each coach can rank the finish with nine for 1st, 8 for second etc. That means the last place team will get 1 point. Each coach cannot vote for themselves so 9 coaches voted for Valpo. Valpo got 9 points in the poll, which means, EACH OF THE OTHER COACHES PICKED VALPO FOR LAST PLACE. Come on Valpo, get a chip on your shoulder and kick some butt!! www.valpoathletics.com/news/default/173/9950/

I am sure coach Carlson will be using this poll in his motivational tactics.
I don't have much faith in any preseason polls! I think we will make some big strides in culture, attitude and execution this season. The wins will start to come and we will not be in last place when the final horn sounds!

The PLF coaches poll has also picked Valpo to finish last. I hope they are wrong.
