Why doesn't my linked picture work?
Not all urls will display an image on this board. Please keep in mind that linking to an image on a website (hotlinking) consumes bandwidth from that website and may result in copyright infringement. As such, some sites may prevent its images from being linked to. For information on hotlinking click here.
As a test, enter the url you are attempting to use as your avatar into the address field of your browser and see if the image appears. If not, there is likely some restriction on hot-linking or the url is incorrect.
Can I edit my own messages?
You can modify your own message if you need to make a correction (and, in fact, you may also delete it). I have noticed that many of you have made some typos or omitted something in one post and corrected it in another. That is not necessary. To edit a post click the "Modify" icon in the upper-right corner of your message (next to the "Quote" icon). To delete it, click the "Delete" icon.
That said, you must understand that this can create some confusion at times, so it is typical to observe some rules of etiquette when editing your post:

If you are responding to a message on a message board that allows editing, it's very important to quote the parts of a message that are necessary to make your reply understood (just in case it gets removed or altered later on). Please note that when you edit a message, it will display the date that it was last edited.
