After scoring 19 points last week they are now up to 114 at 8 pts per game. I guess you have to start somewhere.

Currently Valpo is 115th in total offense, 117th in scoring offense, and 116th in total defense. Keep in mind that's out of 117 teams. Yikes!!! The average Valpo game is 42-9.

Massey ranks all of the college football teams. Here is the Pioneer League: www.masseyratings.com/team.php?s=98700&t=13408 According to Sagarin, VU's one good shot is at home against Butler. Incremental improvements each week is what we need the rest of the season.

Well, I was trying to find something Valpo was good at in football (besided getting dressed for the game) and the best thing they do is intercept the football. They were tied for 62nd in interceptions with 6. Pretty much anything other than that, they're awful finishing in the 100's as far as rankings go.

So if our opponent each week had Jay Cutler at QB, we might have a shot?

As of today Valpo is last in scoring offense and last in scoring defense. How they've managed to be the worst team in the country on both sides of the ball is beyond me.

Note to Milan, Read my other posts. I can't stomach reading one more thing you post. Granted, the team is struggling.....but do you know what is going on there? Do you know the injury situation? Do you know how many have "disappeared" from the program mid-season because they couldn't follow the rules? I am not defending the coach, or the record, I am saying that this has been a very rough year and if I were a recruit would not dream of coming to a place where support is sadly lacking for the program (obvious), where you get bashed by "fans" and professors at the school.......why bother? These young men are playing because they genuinely love the sport. Too bad you don't show up because you geniuinely love and support it here too.

There's no doubt about it. And I do believe that the young men playing are doing it for the love of football, why else would they be playing? It's not for scholarship money and it's not because there's a huge fan base or even great amounts of success. For that I give them some respect. That said, reporting statistical facts is hardly bashing, I think it's reporting the facts. If the players or coaches don't like those facts they should do something to change them.
