Believe it or not they are televising Butler's homecoming football game on MyINDY-TV Channel 23 this afternoon. The bulldogs trail at half 3-0 to Morehead State.

Morehead State kicked a 23 yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining to take a 21-20 lead. Pretty good game for TV. Butler kicked a field goal that put them ahead 20-18 with about 1 1/2 minutes to go.
Morehead State with stands a Cal-Berkeley style try at an ending but Morehead holds them off. Butler didn't have enough athletes or a band on the field to win it that way.
Butler failed to score the winning touchdown before the field goal that put them ahead 20-18 when their receiver failed to keep 2 feet inbounds in the endzone.
In the 3rd quarter Butler gave up a safety after Morehead's punter scrambled a little and then lifted a kick that wasn't high or long but just kept going to the Butler one yard line. Instead of running the ball the bulldogs at first tried to pass but the quarterback brought the ball back down and couldn't run it out of the endzone.
The Bulldog (the actual animal not a mascot) was wearing a blond wig at the game.

I honestly believe they couldn't care less. I totally agree. If you listened to the interview with Brad Stevens he is so cool in the limelight. He really doesn't care at all what pollsters think of his team. In there lies the reason his team can come through in situations where other teams can't. i was more curious about the fans than the team. i'm not the least bit surprised that stevens has stayed calm, cool, and collected through it all.

From what I've seen, Butler fans are pretty comfortable with that ranking. It's hard to complain about starting the season ranked in the top 20, especially when you're trying to replace two lost starters.
