Butler shoots 50% from the 3, and somehow Butler wins by only 2. Unbelievable.

Loyola is tough!! Jim Whitesell has done something to make the Ramblers a very tough defensive ball club. I'm worried about Saturday, especially if we don't have everyone at or near 100% health.

I watched this game again this morning, thru ESPN3.com, and not only did Loyola have a good defense, but Butler passed on some open shots as well. The way things went, Loyola missed too many lay-ups that could have made this a Loyola upset, instead of a traditional HL choke job against Butler. I saw at least 14-16 points in the paint that were lost on missed bunnies. Basically, Butler just got lucky that their laurels worked for them again this game.
Fundamentals were the key for Loyola, but missed points in the paint were the dagger that but Loyola in the loss column this game. We'll really have to step up our defense to keep the scoring differential in our control. I just hope we can have Cory and Kevin Saturday.
