Great matchup and top notch TV assignment. Let's hope both teams win out from now through Feb. 19th.

Watched the Bears play the other night vs. UNI... lost 60-59... They start 4 seniors and a "Weems"... their stud player. We get them at home this year... and shucks-darn, can't squeeze them in next season (since Bowling Green will be coming back to the ARC)... Weems is good... think Haanpaa with muscles.... 4pm Central time... "On the network formerly called The Deuce".

This is agreat matchup and a great tv slot. While the Valley is ranked behind the Horizon (in the Sagarin's) Missouri State is about 10 slots ahead of Valpo.
I presume the rpi is the same.
Who did everyone else get? TV games?

I guess Katz called it. Their RPI is currently 45, to our 56. Dropping the Northern Iowa game at home, Sunday, hurt them they were around 35? The top two games went according to RPI, but then things got pretty jumbled. Missouri State was one slot above us in the RPI ranking (they were away four, we were away five - Drexel beat us by a nose). Looks like Missouri State's best wins are in conference. Non-conference, maybe St. Louis, or... Pacific? Both home games for Missouri Sate. So, not much of a resumee. Pomeroy's computer has Valpo with a two point edge, and a 61% chance of winning. A little better than against Butler. But, I suppose he doesn't factor in this game being in the middle of Valpo's Wisconsin road trip! Squaring off against a (the?) top team from the Valley. Should be a good one!

OK, now, about that Broadcast on ESPNU... 1. valparAYso... what the? ? Yeah, they didn't have much to say about us, or Missouri State. Not the most impressive portion of the telecast.

Three TV games. Not bad!

Should be a good one! if slu is msu's top non-con win, there's a problem. the billikens are a very young team, and are currently free-falling through the a-10. in a couple years, slu may be a quality non-con win, but not this year. they don't score enough and make too many mistakes. i was bothered by vu's (suck it imc) offensive woes until i went to the slu-dayton game at slu in early january. they didn't have just one scoreless stretch, they had four or five. they don't play bad defense most of the time, but it can't make up for their offensive ineptitude. as for msu, i don't get to see them play a whole lot, since springfield's 4 hours away. but being tops in the valley means that they obviously have some potential. should be an exciting game. just wish i could be there for it.

according to warrennolan.com, Missouri State's best nonconference win by RPI was Pacific. Their RPI is 144, St. Louis is 177.
