you have no control on what others do...certainly there are teams you'd rather play, and you'd rather host than travel if it comes to that....but the simple answer is to win....win the league if you can and you host everything....worrying about the rest doesn't matter at this point in the season.....I'm still looking for winning the league, why aren't you?...doesn't mean I think we will or don't have favorites as to who I'd like to see us play....you're way to sensitive '56....Nothing I said indicates I don't have preferences, I just perfer to worry about what we do not others....the rest takes care of itself How does that make me sensitive? I was simply responding to your assertion that "You win every game you can . . ." My point was that such a comment is pointless because clearly a team and its fans want said team to win every game it can. . . . In other news, water is wet!

It's a good question, but actually the 3 seed is guaranteed something the 2 seed is not: home court for 1 game. The home first round game is a nice little money maker but, the hard part of being the 3 seed is winning two games in two days away from home (the last of which being against the 2 seed). No thanks. I'd rather play one game on a neutral court to get to the championship than one game at home and 2 on a neutral court. The first reason for liking the 3 seed is momentum. Anyone who has played on coached or rooted for a team that by being handed the toughest route achieved an unexpected level of success knows exactly what I am suggesting. The second reason I like the 3 seed is that we probably have a better chance of falling to the 4 or 5 seed than rising to the 2 or 1. Can Homer rest an injured player, or give Witt or Vucic a little more playing time or introduce a new wrinkle, when any mistakes might drop us back to that god awful 3 seed ? Homer has a bit more flexability than the rest of the coaches.

A brief clarification - Obviously it is in our best interest to beat Cleveland State. What I'm really wondering is if it is in our best interest that Butler ALSO beat Cleveland State. CSU is in first, Butler is tied for second. According to my simple rule in these matters, I root for Butler. If I think that CSU is a mirage, I guess I might deviate. The problem is, if they go in to Hinkle and beat Butler, that's one heck of a mirage Of course, when I said I was rooting for Butler, I didn't mean in a rout. If someone voted for a knock down drag out 3-OT home team win, that's definitely more what I had in mind.

Wisdom for Gary Waters and his Cleveland State Vikings: Confucious say - Top dog getting smoked trumps jealous wannabe in the anger department.

Why not just take it for what it was: a different opinion. Just because rlh decided not to play the speculation game doesn't mean you have to let him spoil your fun.
