Great point, 72. As much flak as Homer takes on some corners of this board, the man can coach. Strange that a guy with the coaching chops of Brad Stevens elected to play things differently (although I'm quite certain that he was well-aware of Valpo's successful strategy). I've now heard several times -- most recently from Joel Cornette on the HLN broadcast -- that Anthony Hill is Milwaukee's best player. No way! He's its third-best, after Tony Meier and Kaylon Williams. By the way, what a gutsy performance yesterday by top gun Tony Meier, who was seen several times yakking on the sideline. (Do they still call it yakking?) After we scored 103 points on Oakland and Brandon and Cory scored almost 70 points between them, someone asked Greg Kampe why they didn't try double teaming them. He said that's not what they do - that his players should be athletic enough to guard people one-on-one. Maybe Stevens shares the same philosophy - I'm not sure. I do know one thing - after Brandon went nuts on Purdue in the first half for something like 17 points, even they doubled on him in the 2nd half. That's the only way they could get control of the game. Proverbs 16:18 Very interesting Bible notation wh. Might be something to consider placing on the ESPN Bracketlogy thread.
