I can't believe you guys don't have a thread about this. When is the last time you've received votes in a top 25 poll? espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings?poll=2(Nildogg) I thought I had an account over here, but for some reason I can't get it to log in? |

I guess I am not too excited about 2 votes...Let me know after the brackebuster where Valpo is ranked, or receiving votes. In the end, the only thing that matters is winning the Horizon League tournament and an NCAA bid.

James Kerwin... lol I don't think its possible to see how the coaches vote, but here is a link to see how the AP writers vote, just in case you creep into that list, although if CSU is only getting 2 votes, and one is from their own writer in Cleveland, then I doubt we'll see Valpo up there soon... www.pollspeak.com/pollstalker/pollstalker.php?r=F&s=14&p=29 |

You really don't think the players and coaches would be excited and happy about being in the Top 25??? I've never heard of anyone being upset about showing up in a poll. I would also argue that having "Valparaiso University" in a list with other top 25 teams is great recruiting and marketing for the school. So I think a lot of people care about the polls, and they do mean something. |

How many of us would even think about Coastal Carolina or St. Mary's (CA) if these schools weren't ranked in this poll and talked about because of their basketball teams? |

I knew about St. Mary's before I knew about their basketball team! But, I agree, most people probably would not have. Probably the story (for basketball fans) is not so different for Valpo.
