Will we be able to keep one vote with a big win tomorrow?

We won't lose that many votes in the Mid-Major poll with the loss to CSU. If CSU had been in YSU's position in the standings, then we may have lost a lot more votes than any of us would believe, maybe not even getting recognition, but with CSU being even with us, and playing a better game than we did last night, I can't imagine we lose too many votes.

We'll see if Butler falls below us in the poll. Unless they beat CSU, they might...
They have fallen behind us in the RPI.

Guys, I don't understand your obsession with the Mid-Major poll... worthless. It's all we've ever had, nil. Patience.

Agreed with nil. Never looked at it, never cared.

besides the fact that this thread isn't about the mid major poll, but rather the coaches poll...

Even after losing to Cleveland State this week, and pulling off the win against Youngstown State in less than impressive fashion, we still have 2 votes in the coaches poll. Interestingly, Cleveland State has no votes in the coaches poll, but one in the AP poll (we have none). None of this really matters, but is fairly interesting to pay attention to. Also, we moved up from 40th to 39th.

Weird! Cleveland State had, what, 9 votes in the coaches' poll last week?

Will we be able to keep one vote with a big win tomorrow? No. When you're wrong, you're wrong. Really didn't see that coming though.

Nice! I notice Scott's a voter, actually. So, maybe he gave us one of those votes! (Or both? Maybe he has us #24 and Baylor #25). Rob Jeter gets a ballot too. So does Scott Sutton of ORU By the way, CSU is the one getting votes (vote, really) in the AP poll. Which poll is more reliable is open to debate.

I believe that both polls are reliable indicators of those casting ballots (More so than the Mid-Major poll?) Whether that's the coach, or a graduate assistant, or someone having lunch with the beat writer.

We now have 4 votes in the coaches poll, good for 36th. Cleveland State has 2 (39th place).
There are no HL teams receiving votes in the AP poll. Also, Missouri State is not receiving any votes in either, although they are tied for first in the MVC with Wichita State, who has 7 votes in the coaches poll.
