I just noticed that Butler is on ESPN U and ESPN 2 twice more this week....it's amazing how many of their games are on national TV....I hope it's good for the entire league, but I wonder if it really is helping raise the league profile or just Butler's.....especially since they aren't winning the league this year.....

I think it is good for the Horizon, but what level of good? It definitely is good for Butler. Of course, if any other team from our conference, or any mid-major conference, had the success that Butler has the last few years - culminating with a chance to beat Duke for the NCAA Championship - they would also receive the same amount of exposure. I just hope that the HL is using this opportunity to bend the ear of ESPN (or other national cable channel) to showcase other games that have HL significance: Valpo-Wright St; CSU-Wright St; or Valpo-UWM (if UWM wins the next two). All of these games have the potential to be nail-biters, with great impact to the HL standings.

I'd think the fact that Vitale will be in town Saturday doing the Bracketbuster might be some kind of an indication that ESPN now knows the HL a bit better, most likely because of Butler.
