If someone suspects your neighbor of being a terrorist, don't question him. ;D I have a co-worker who had surgery on his shoulder and has been recovering for two weeks. Jack was stabbed in the shoulder, escaping captors, and running from exploding buildings all within thirty minutes. I would have liked to have seen a change in scenery for a season, though. It doesn't always have to be in LA. Chloe at her best... www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1i9G8Cw6TY

On Jack: More powerful than a locomotive; able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, faster than a speeding bullet..... it's......JACK!!!!!!

A friend of mine is waiting for my tape of the first 4 hours because he lost power for Sunday at least. He called me Saturday night, just as I was about to pull out of the VU parking lot and head back to St. Louis. When I got home, I found that my power had remained on, and it continues to be so. Apparently the storm didn't hit the entire St. Louis area equally.
Ain't it great to see Milo back at CTU?
Notice how there's always a love-triangle somewhere in the mix?

She's got cajones.

Fact: Large-scale acts of international terrorism primarily comes from Muslims. Hit US television show '24' under fire from Muslim group Jan 19 9:53 AM US/Eastern Hit US television show "24" came under fire from a Muslim group, which accused the program's makers of fuelling anti-Muslim prejudice with its latest storyline. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said "24's" season premiere, in which Islamic terrorists detonated a nuclear bomb near Los Angeles, risked stoking racial hatred. The criticism was swiftly rejected by the show's network Fox Broadcasting, which said the series did not single out ethnic groups to be villains. "The raw emotional impact of fictional scenes that include widespread death and destruction in America may adversely affect the public's attitude toward civil liberties, religious freedom and interfaith relations," the CAIR statement said. "The program's repeated association of acts of terrorism with Islam will only serve to increase anti-Muslim prejudice in our society," it added. Representatives of the award-winning series responded by pointing out that during the show's five seasons villains have included Americans, Baltic Europeans, Germans, Russians, Islamic fundamentalists and the fictional president of the United States. "The producers are sensitive to the fact that over the course of the series no ethnic group be singled out for persecution or blame," a statement from Fox said. "In fact, the show has made a concerted effort to show ethnic, religious and political groups as multi-dimensional, and political issues are debated from multiple viewpoints." CAIR has raised similar concerns about "24" storylines in the past. In response to the complaint two years ago, Fox aired a public service announcement featuring "24's" star Kiefer Sutherland, urging viewers to avoid stereotyping Muslims.

You'd have to figure that angered Muslims would show up again and there were quite a few discussions of it earlier in the week. It always ends up being a white businessman who is behind it all, though. It looks like the same businessman from last season is going to pop up again too. They kept running the ads before the season started with him getting choked and begging "Jack, you're hurting me." Jack is choking him, looking to pop the guy's head like a pimple, and simply says "No, I'm not." I can see Peter MacNicol becoming a "bad guy." He plays a good weasel, like he was in Ghostbusters II. I was a bit surprised to see Milo back. I don't quite remember what happened to him last.

During season 2, folks in the 24 newsgroup were complaining because the Muslim countries in the plot ended up NOT having anything to do with it (political correctness - "why do they have to make Westerners responsible for it all?"). You can't please anybody, can you? For crying out loud, in almost every season where Muslims have been involved, a portion of the plot has been devoted to the very concern that was cited. What more do they want? David Palmer sent the National Guard in to protect Muslims in that one city. I wonder if they complained about last night's Law & Order episode...
