Just to clear up any misconceptions that someone may have given the multiple articles I posted on extreme, radicals of Islam, I personally do not have any problem with anyone who is a peaceful follower of Islam. I believe that most of the Arab and Muslim population and anyone else who practice the religion of Islam are no different from most people in the US, i.e., law-abiding and hard-working people who love their God and their families and their countries and don't wish any physical harm to come to others. It is in the extreme elements of various kinds of religions and cultures where we find most of the hate and violence. And usually there are just a few elites in each of those cultures who fan the flames of racial and religious hate and violence.
So the purpose of my posts are as follows:
1. To inform.(The teacher in me never goes away)
2. To highlight liberal hypocrisy regarding these issues. ;D
3. To get others to think about these serious issues facing the world today in another light.
4. To urge people (all freedom-loving people of all religions and cultures) to take these issues seriously and consider how much they can actually threaten our own own freedoms which we enjoy and for which many have given their lives.
My purpose is not as follows:
1. To say that all Muslims or Arabs or followers of Islam are terrorists.
2. To suggest that Muslims would not be welcome in America or at Valpo University or even as a neighbor next door. Again, I believe most followers of Islam of all races and cultures are no different from most Americans and want what we all want - peace and the freedom to live without fear and to worship our God without others telling us we can't do that and to love our neighbors and families.
Peace.
