If you're a GOP strategist looking for key primary votes, spend your valuable advertising money on PGA Tour events. If you're a Dem trying to win over your base, focus on advertising during NBA games.

So says a new study among hundreds of thousands of Americans examining the correlation between viewers' favorite sports and their voting habits. And, the survey shows, most dedicated sports watchers are much more likely to vote with the GOP than they are to vote with Dems.

I had seen a similar chart, but it is was only in terms of numbers. The turnout component is interesting. Yeah, I'd kind of figure WWE viewers would be more apathetic than the majority of NBA viewers. I'm not sure why college football is so far right, though. It is almost in line with the PGA. I knew the NFL leaned right, but I figured college football would follow fairly close.

I had also seen a chart with car brands, but I can't seem to find it online anywhere. Hummer and many luxury sports brands were right-leaning, while Saab and VW were left-leaning.
