Although an elephant,I can't vote for a cantankerous, cancerous old man who is almost my age.Plus he has the "Moose Queen" as his running mate. I am voting (wife too) for a young, articulate, intelligent young man - O'bama.

Perhaps a poll would be better?

Perhaps a poll would be better? A poll would be great. I'm more comfortable voting anonymously. I suspect there may be others who feel the same way...

I'm still undecided, but I think we're almost voting anonymously here because we don't really know the identities of each person on this board, unless we've run into each other on campus or somewhere else. Though for those of you who are uncomfortable with open voting like this, if you need a poll, then make a poll.

Poll is ok ,just as long as you can't vote more than once.I guess you could always register under a new name[member] like valponut or something like that & we'd never know the validity of our poll. Someone else will have to set up,like McCain I am not that great on the computer.

Though for those of you who are uncomfortable with open voting like this, if you need a poll, then make a poll. Run - If I thought it was important enough, I would have already done it. I was simply responding to a question from ’04 that I suspect more posters would participate (myself included) if the question were set-up in our poll format. However, since you’re a proponent of the more public approach, I will be looking forward with some interest in learning your decision – whenever you make it. I may not know the face behind your posting name, but you have shared enough about yourself over time that I already have an educated guess about who will be receiving Mr. Valporun's vote on Nov. 4th

The Son of William F. Buckley has clinched it for me. Obama all the way.
4-4.
I kinda wish McCain 2000 were running instead of this latest upgrade. I'd love to see two intelligent, principled (relatively speaking) candidates squaring off against each other just once in my lifetime.
