It wasn't unusual to see a football player in the arrest column of the Times within the last 10 years, I know that. However, the players that I dealt with seemed to be upstanding citizens, very articulate and the type of student-athlete that should be representing the university. Of course, I only talked with a select few every year.

It appears that VU had at least one swinging dick on campus. Maybe ,just maybe,we can find a few more to offset the wimps and nerds that seem to have taken over the campus. Where have all the veterans gone, now that we need them?

This may be the dumbest post I've ever read here or anywhere else rlh, based on who posted the comment you're confused about, I would suggest just shaking your head, and then forget about what was said. We both know jj just says some things to rile up the board, but the comment he had was just above dumb, and close to careless.

Does anyone know exactly what happened regarding the fraternity incident. I was a TC in the 80's and at the time the hazing there was no different from any other place. Yes, there were many student athletes but the only confrontations (only at parties when they wouldn't let us in) were with other frats. There was never any crossing the line to violent behavior.

I heard that a couple Sig Taus painted the Theta Chi letters on their own (Sig Tau's) basement hallway to trick their own brothers. It caused one of the other Sig Tau brothers to yell (in a high-pitched voice), "G*d*amn Theta Chis!" I am unsure if that incident has anything to do with the more recent issues however.

Halloween 1985. I dressed in full drag, including a short skirt, smeared lipstick and a full beehive hairdo, and drank my fill at the Theta Chi house without one rude incident occurring. True gentlemen.

I remember wandering over to Theta Chi's one wintry evening when a party was in full swing having a few beers, then peeing on a huge pile of coats that were laying on a bed. I regret a lot of the stupid things I did in college but that isn't one of em.

I had a great time at TC partys. The holloween party was the best. Some guys dressed like football players (duh) but what caught my eye was the one with the leAther executioners mask complete with the mouth zipper.

there was one instance this last year that saw several upperclassmen brothers lay a serious beating on one of the freshmen-serious enough to involve a hospital stay, and discussion of aggravated assault charges.

Hmmm, yeah, that sounds like some "trouble"!!
