I wasn't citing hearsay. I knew a pledge at Theta in its last semester gaining pledges. He was one who bought into what they did, and and through someone he knows, I found out that kegs were rolled down stairs at them, so that is accurate. The report might be accurate. But, the way you describe hearing about the kegs, it is technically hearsay, right?

70s: Again, you continue to speak about the past. This is not the same today. There may only be 8 fraternities now, but most participate actively in intramurals and have some type of signature community service activity -- not Theta Chi....... Perception is reality in this situation, and Theta Chi seemingly did very little to try and change the campus's perception of themselves. So Theta Chi was more than just Football Players. During my time there, They were very active in Intramurals, but were not allowed to do Charity Softball tourneys, banned from Dodgeball, usually too busy in Fall or Spring because of REAL team committments, and not "intramurals", although they did come together to be the Official Valpo Crusader as they made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament against MSU, as well as 3-time Water Basketball Champions. If Intramural participation is how you judge a Fraternity, you are a sad, sad, small (albeit, nerd whom probably questions his own preferences for) men. Without Theta Chi, or for Phi Delts, for that matter, many of the records held by Scholarship athletes on campus at VALBLOW are probably a thing of the past. Stroll around Campus. Note the names of the buildings. Figure out what Men's fraternities those people belonged too. A Fraternity is one where you hve "brothers" - a concept foreign to the remaining fraternities, whom seem to only exist for the title of "brother," but in reality are just boyfriends. A brother knows everything about each other, and sticks together, and goes to battle with, each other. And being men, you are bound to have disagreements, if you can handle things in-house, you are truly being men. The way this University, if I dare call it that, has chosen to handle Greek Life, and the Student Life in General, is laughable at best. -Hunter.

Yeah I remember those guys, those were the same guys that could steel any guys girlfriend on campus at will, and the girls seemed to love them for it. Other frats used to be so jealous of those guys - and got beat down plenty if they didnt know thier roll.....sad to hear they aren't around anymore....valpo won't be the same thats for sure. I remember once, I was walking to to campus and there was some dude doing pushups on the front lawn, no shirt on, and two smoking fine babes on his back.....just down there, doing pushups - mid day, no lie......those guys definitly had a great time, everyone wanted to be a TC!

I do not know why the Theta Chis got a rap as the "tough guy meatheads" on campus. Every fight I ever saw between a Theta Chi and a Sig Tau was won by the Sig Tau, mopping the floor with the Theta Chi. well, if Sig Tau Steve or a Valenti was involved, Bearded or Not, there surely was no questions... Everyone talks bad about Theta Chi because they never got Bids...We might have been the only house on campus that didn't really try to recruit...and when someone got a bid, they either pledged, maybe went to Phi Delts if it was a football thing, or just weren't Frat guys. Never really heard of anyone quitting Theta Chi to go to another frat.

Sig Tau - thats a funny one. Man, I wasn't greek, but I remember Theta Chi used to beat on those guys so bad.....I was at a Sig Tau barbecue one time with a friend, and 4 Theta Chi's walked in and just stole their grill.......The Tau president came out and said, "Well, guess we will have to just get a new one."

I heard about this one Guy on the Baseball Team. He Dropped BOMBS. And He stole Every Guys Girlfriend. I even heard one time he speared a Sig Ep just getting in his way. Ohh yeah, and that spear? a REAL spear attached to a truck. You just don't hear classy Legends like that anymore....

Note to Hunter and Bounty: Children, it is time to calm down and go to sleep, and never bother the nice people at the Valpo Fans Forum again.

Gotta love this homophobic tidbit. If Intramural participation is how you judge a Fraternity, you are a sad, sad, small (albeit, nerd whom probably questions his own preferences for) men.

Everything you say just reinforces the decision to bar them from campus....
