I never seriously thought he'd go to Butler, as I said before.....when you can choose between the Big 10 and the Horizon League (if indeed they were in the mix)...the Big 10 is going to win most times Shaq Boga just picked Milwaukee over Iowa and Minnesota. Gordon Hayward picked Butler over Purdue. I'm not really ready to dive in as I work in 7 hours and need to sleep, but there are plenty more, I'm sure of it.

I think it came down to Cody Zeller thinking you can't be noticed, except as an exception like Hayward, for the NBA unless you play for a BSC school in a BCS conference. In this sense Zeller will be the rule rather than the exception.

Neither of these players was a in the top 50 much less the top 25 of recruits coming out of high school. The only comparable horizon recruit would be Ray McCallum, and we all know why he went to Detroit.

As an Indiana graduate, I'm excited that Zeller picked the Hoosiers. I might actually start paying attention to them again, because I certainly haven't since the beginning of the Kelvin Sampson era. I hated that guy when he was at Oklahoma and wasn't happy when they brought him in. I do like Crean, but I'd like him better if he agreed to play at Valpo once in a while as Purdue does.

Yes, good for Crean, all my IU fan friends are really excited. They are tired of the Butler talk too finally. (That was embarrassing) Coach Dale(in Crean's voice): After what Jimmy (insert "Cody") did for me it would take the Indiana National Guard to get me out of here....

Well, he's agreed to play at Valpo before (with Marquette), so I wouldn't rule it out.
