"Aren't we just slightly ahead of ourselves??" Isn't that what message boards are for, 72? I agree. It's perfectly okay to "get ahead of ourselves" on a message board. That is what a message board is for. You guys need to stop telling other posters what they can post. Are you hearing me? So stop telling everyone what to post. (Tongue planted firmly in cheek)

By the way, why does anyone on here think Valpo would ever be easy first-round fodder for some BCS conference juggernaut? You're in the Horizon League now. There's actually a better chance that you'll win your first-round game. After all, Horizon League teams have won first-round games for six straight years. Six straight years, true. Out of 5, 13, 7, 5, 11, and 12 seeds. Along with first round losses from the 9, and 14 seeds in the same period. Valpo knows something about winning from the 13 seed. But, there is a reason they call them upsets. Not sure how much better than a 13 we could do this year. Perhaps if some separation develops in the league standings. We'll see, I hope!

SO... let me pose this... would we rather NCAA as a 14/15 ... or to the NIT with a winable matchup....Obviously the Big Dance is just that... but the NIT is still a big deal! The NIT is the Not Invited Tournamant for a reason. While it's something going on during the NCAA tournament, it's still nowhere close to the dance. I'd rather Valpo be a 16 seed in the NCAA's than any seed in the NIT. That' said, I'd still watch if they were in the NIT
