So, are we the worst free throw shooting team in D1 or what? Got to be bottom third at least. Man if we were any good at shooting free throws...

There was one play that cost YSU the game in OT. Buggs had a breakaway with about 30 seconds left and instead of fouling, they let him make the layup. Instead of being down two with Buggs at the line (1-6 at the time I think), they were down 4.

Out of 335 D1 teams Valpo is 233rd (66%). Alabama State is dead last at 55%.

Let's hope Matt Kenney is okay. Cannot afford to lose him in the rotation. Any updates on his injury? +1

He rolled his left ankle on a contested layup, or maybe a rebound, can't remember for sure. He limped off the court and didn't return although it was fairly late in the game. My guess is that he will be OK with some tape and a few days off.

Only 2200 in attendance? Guess I would've expected more after their thrilling victory over Butler.

I can't remember where it was done or when but perhaps we should consider resurrecting an old foolproof strategy. When our guys go to the line we all stand, and when the ref hands them the ball we all turn around. If they then proceed to shoot under 50% because they were all laughing at us, at least they would have some kind of excuse.

I'd love to see a stat on what Valpo's FT precentage is when the score is within 5 points with less than 4 minutes to play. That would take some serious scouring of the play-by-play from each game, but I wouldn't put it past anyone on here .

Instead of being down two with Buggs at the line (1-6 at the time I think), they were down 4. Pretty sad but as I said It's a good thing YSU didn't foul us more often or we would have missed more FT's and lost this game. Also read my signature. Valpo didn't dominate this game but they did come away with the win. That is all that really matters except to improve for their next game because I don't think the Crusaders beat Detroit playing the way they did against YSU.

Just got finished watching the replay.
What a horrible basketball game! OT was a little better than the rest, but, man, that was ugly.
I don't think we can afford to play that poorly against anybody else in the league.
That said, YSU didn't look as bad as 2-10.
